I must say, that the improvement of that dungeon is immerse. I love how huge they made it (compared to cities -> which were pretty much reduced in house quantity -> what I like as completing quests is less walking :D )
Walking in the narrow halls, then entering the huge waterfall dome...beautiful.
I just hope I won't forget some important details...
I did not take the firepowder, as it would damage my char, but now on level two my magician could not resist a temptation and put her hand into a rat hole - of course... DEX -6 due being caught in rat trap :) ...and magicians should be of the smart sort, meh.
I did waste one torch just to prove that there is NOTHING... NOTHING in that hole, only squeeking noise...but my magician had to put her hand in... DEX is often used as attribute CHECK during spell casting! I am going short on water so time is of essence...
I also wonder if I will find endless puch of water and food... probably not...
I have Salamnder Stone, but cannot find the correct key. Walkthrough for DOS version tells me, that only the gnome gives the right silver key -> but in this game the gnome never did pop up. (in his room there was a slab, but it did nothing...)
I believe I can still find one more key somewhere, but it won't be the correct one I am afraid :(
I have :
Double bit key
and I think I missed the one on level 4...
dammit
I even did return to the village and I tried to get the key from the other side (what was possible in DOS version)
But in this version I was not able to get the key (and return to the priest)
Upon exit, I plainly lied "Yes I did return the key"
I hope I won't be punished for not returning dat key...
did everything, foght every battle, got all the items...
and when i took the stuff from that one chest , put it on my dwarf - it was always way too hot
only chance to get past that was brute force it, with 6 selfmade asthenilrings (hexedit ;) )
some ppl turn back and form an own group.
1 character amde it to the other side...
so i could just swap out the coordinates and teleport all to the other side, get the salamander stone, and helped myself also to ingerims treasure and that sword.
i thik that's fair since i had to get thru all the trouble of trying to play with the hexeditor for 3 hours, and trying to get into that chamber (clearing the dungeon was a 60 to 90 minutes thing... trying to find a way within the rules took me another 6 + 3 for hexedit...
so after 10 hours i'm finally thru that.
so yes, i cheated, no i don't feel bad ;)
it's totally justified for a bugged instance of a game
