In fact, the most popular thread since the release of Anniversary is a petition (of sorts) asking for a Fable II release on PC (which would be utterly pointless if a remaster was coming).
Heaven knows why they have not released Fable II for PC yet.
Some say it's for fear of it not selling. Others say it's because of the bad reception of Fable Anniversary. Others again say it's got to do with Lionhead having to wrestle the rights from Microsoft, who for some arcane purpose want to keep Fable II exclusive to an obsolete system.
All or none of these reasons may be true.
Hoping they do not remaster (or re-release) Fable 3 seems a bit odd to me. True, the gameplay does not hold a candle to Fable or Fable II, and the story seems a bit forced in places, but it's still part of the saga. And it wasn't that bad.
Many players, myself included, who didn't get it for PC the first time around are hoping for a re-issue (without the horrible GFWL-integration, of course). What one would gain from hoping this does not happen is a mystery to me. Pretending Fable 3 did not happen will not make the eventual (and at this point unlikely) Fable 4 any better.
I feel like Fable 3 has become to Fable fans what Nickleback, and to a lesser degree Justin Bieber, has become to so called music-fans. It's very chique to hate Fable 3 without any real argumentation, and it's very easy to gain a following doing it. Yes, it was not as good as the other two, but it wasn't bad. It was fine. We expected more. Let's get over it already.
In conclusion:
Making threads like this will provide no quantifiable reason for Lionhead to remaster or port Fable II. We have a petition thread already which might. All we can do is sign it and wait. If anyone knew of a coming remaster, the frontpage of this forum would be plastered, I promise.
Furthermore, hoping that Fable 3 does not get re-released on PC is neither going to make it better nor make it disappear. If it doesn't come out it just means that a group of people does not get what they were hoping for. No one is going to make you get it. I'm sorry you where so disappointed by it.
