Dark Will users hat

I turned in all books but i only got the bright will users hat...but I was evil etc...is ther another way to get it?

The hat you get depends on the first 8 books you give him, if you give him more books that are unsuitable for children than educational books first you get the dark hat, but if you give him more educational books than unsuitable books first you get the bright hat.

unsuitable books:
Eyes of a Killer- Bowerstone South
The Guild of Zeros- Bowerstone South
Windbreaker Rule Book- Bowerstone South
You Are Not a Bad Person- Bowerstone South
The Oakvale Raid- Oakvale
The Sock Method- Oakvale
The Ugly Guide- Oakvale
The Tale of Twinblade- Heroes Guild (save before searching, there are a lot of educational)

I believe the Bowerstone North shop sells the bright wizard hat, although like Flcafi said, the only way to get the dark wizard hat is to turn in 8 'evil' books.

It's also important to know that Gout will always choose good books over bad, so try not to shake down the Heroes Guild or you're basically guaranteed a good hat

It's also important to know that some books are impossible to get rid of, even through the charity shop in Snowspire. Dragons and The Other Land are among the impossible ones, and they're both considered good books.

I'm so late to this thread, but even if you loot the "good" books first. You can tell him no, then he'll ask about the next book on the list of your inventory. You just do that til he gets to the bad ones. I used your list of 8 books up there and got my dark hat even though i looted the whole guild library, and the books in the first demon door.
