Knothole Glade blacksmith
Will there be a patch to fix the random NPC kill in knothole Glade? Because my blacksmith disappeared after the White Balverine quest, and now I can't buy the Ranger set :(

The Apollo Ranger set is sold at the Darkwood Camp should the KHG blacksmith die.

Unfortunately, I just checked, and the set doesn't seem to be there. The only sets I can buy there are the Minion and Wasp set, as well as the lion head.

All traders have a randomized inventory - this includes legendary items, as well. For instance, I still have not been able to visit him while he has the lion head in his inventory, but I have gotten the wasp and minion armour sets. Just takes a bit of patience - I believe inventories reset after 3 in-game days.

Ok, that's cool. Thx for your help.

Sure thing. :) Good luck getting everything.

The NPC that disappears from the quest does not get replaced, correct? Would this prevent you from getting the "king" title? I ask because I don't ever recall buying out Knothole Glade before that quest, and yet have been able to acquire the title on other characters.

Not entirely sure as to which game you are speaking of: there is no such thing as a 'King' title in Fable 1 - although, that would be a pretty nice title if it did exist. And, unfortunately, the blacksmith does not respawn... nor does his shop ever go up for sale, like many other businesses.

You seem to be the one with the misunderstanding. The npc that disappears is not always the same, it is any npc in Knothole Glade, hence my worries.

As for the King title, yes, it is not official title. HOWEVER, if you purchase every property piece in the game, npcs will begin to refer to you as "your majesty" and such. If I remember right, they also refer to you as mayor if you only own all the property in a single town.

Damn - and here I was hoping that there was some secret title I never knew about (although I still prefer my Paladin title).

They do that when you marry Lady Grey or when you replace her as Mayor.

But I have a similar problem, the merchant next to the smith disappeared.

You're right for the mayor part, I was mistaken. It was Duke for Oakvale and Lord for Knothole Glade.

After doing some research, it seems that I can't get the outfit from the Darkwood camp. For some reason, it disappears out of the merchant inventory after some time, which means it can only get acquired through the Knothole Glade merchant at this point. Merchant which doesn't exist in my game anymore! ...yaaaaay :(

Could we get this fixed? Either have the Darkwood merchant sell this all the time, or fix the Quest.
