This game is not compatible with... my keybard...

I am playing on my laptop as I do with all my games and I've never encountered such a problem so far... Basically I don't have "Insert", "Home", etc. keys on my keyboard and therefore there is no way I can navigate through menus whatsoever.

I am not expecting any fixes from Lionhead or Microsoft, but maybe there are any of you had the same issue and found a workaround? I really want to play the game but it is just literally impossible.

Most laptops have a function key, labelled "FN", along with additionnal icons on other keys.

Basically, holding FN and pressing the corresponding key will work.
It changes from one manufacturer to an other (placement, colour...), but it's the basics.

Now, "Home" can also be a diagonal arrow pointing to the top left, in case it's not in plain letters.

I've seen this post, you can rebind practically anything in that .ini file yet not those 4 keys I believe.
I will check it one more time to be sure though...

However I don't have anything written on my arrow keys, it still worked! Thanks a lot!

I haven't found keybind to that in BaseInput config file.

Fn+Left Arrow and Fn+Enter are bind to scroll through the "top bar"
FN+Right Arrow and Fn+"EraseButton" are binds to scroll throgh the "bottom bar"

Annoying but at least playable

Sorry for my english i'm french but you can navigate in the menu with the numbers on the right of your keyboard (1 , 2 , 0) and using the arrow keys.........Anyway i hope they will fix soon this problem.........

Numbers don't seem to work for me...

Most laptops don't have the numpad, but if you do have one, you just need to turn off "num lock" to have access to home, end, insert, delete (respectively on 7, 1, 0 and the dot).

Most probably yes, my laptop doesn't have one and I feel like being brutally ripped off and cheated on for buying this game. And the graphics aren't that good either. In all honesty, TLC's ones seem a lot more aesthetic and natural to me.
Sorry for the offtopic and rant, had to let that steam out somewhere. Hope they fix those issues soon.

was considering buying this when i stumbled across this ... they're using INSERT keys as non bindable core gameplay option??? my powered gaming lappie doesn't have an INSERT. sheesh - this is one of the sillier points in the game...will wait for binding fix afore purchasing this game....shucks..so wanted tae play it today

True that, and using "Fn+Arrows" and "Fn+Enter, Fn+Erase" feels so unnatural and stupid. I've decided to not even think of playing this game until they bring mouse support to menus or at least rebind the keys.
