'Book Collection' bug

I have played Fable from quite a young age, the first game was and still remains to be my favorite and most memorable game of all time. I never managed to finish all the quests when I was playing on my original XBox as a child, but recently I have taken to trying to attain every achievement in the game after I purchased this game again on Steam.

Now, I am sat here with the following dilemma:

24/25 books donated.
29/30 silver keys obtained.
9/10 demon doors opened.

Why do I miss one for each of these three achievements? Well, in order to get the last demon door I would like to open the 30 key chest at the Lost Bay before opening the door at the Necropolis, in order to get the last silver key I need to complete the "Book Collection" bronze quest, in order to complete that quest, the game needs to function correctly.

Unfortunately, I sit here with 13/14 of the 'evil' books collected after already giving 11/11 of the 'good' books and obtaining the bright wizard hat. I have come to the conclusion that this is down to a few potential issues:

1. "The Repentant Alchemist" is missing from the Bowerstone South tailor, it is possible I already donated this book, but I am unsure if the book itself is simply non-existent.
2. The famed "Book of Spells" glitch has never been fixed, even after 10 years. For those of you that don't know, this is the quest killing book that would prevent you from handing in the last book by locking you in an infinite dialogue loop.

This post is part bug report and part asking for any assistance from players who have encountered and fixed this issue, among the things i have already tried include re-collecting 13 of the 'evil' books (all except the "Repentant Alchemist") and attempting to talk to the teacher again, trying to donate irrelevant books to the charity store in Snowspire (impossible), re-starting and re-loading the game.

I intend to restart the game on Heroic difficulty anyway for one of the achievements, however I really cannot be bothered with running around for silvers keys, books and demon doors all over again. I just want to speed run.

How did you get all of the books having the same problem now
