No sound - fixed! Windows 10

So I got Fable Anny installed and was gearing up for a trip down nostalgia lane but whence I got ingame there was zero audio. Kicking chickens lost much of it's pizzazz.
Luckily I solved it by opening up the Sounds window (right click speaker icon in Windows taskbar) opening up my sound device properties and under the Advanced tab I set the Default Format to the lowest quality (in my case this was 16bit 44100 Hz).
That did it!
