Worth a buy?

I've never played a Fable game in my life before, and have only found out about it very recently. Is the game worth a buy? Will I be able to make a proper decision on keeping it or not within the two hour refund limit?

Nope, Its not even a complete game

idk what the other guy is talking about but the game has the content from the lost chapters. Its also the version that has controller support if that's your jam, but unfortunately its virtually impossible to get the other 2-3 games in the series on pc without emulation

and it being less than $9 is worth it over the base price

Game has a completely broken gamma, which results in everything being 25% duller than normal. Original Fable looked bright and colorful while anniversary looks like Schindler's List.
It also has loads of ps1 era textures in it because the idiot game developers (now defunct shocker) thought pc users had 512mb of RAM in 2014.

fable 2 definitely a no-go. but 3 can still be played, although not sold on steam directly i got a key online and used a guide to get online working. surprisingly theres still active players that do co-op to this day

afaik it was never offered on pc, purely a 360 exclusive. i think 3 was available but was quickly pulled from everywhere to become a 360 exlusive.

it is a perfectly fine game by itself, the only downside is that it may leave you wanting more, and the modding scene is very lackluster. The original game 'fable the lost chapters' is still available and has a better modding scene but has no controller support nor does it have by default the streamlined controls of the future games like anniversary has.

you don't need it but they handle terribly imo on K+M no matter how proficient you are. You don't NEED a controller but the game was designed around it being how you play it.

It's a great game. Works fine with Mouse and Keyboard unless you're an absolute crybaby. An average person will get used to it in a jiffy.

I've finished Anniversary and the original one on keyboard + mouse and I didn't have any problems with them. imo the game is worth the price, but on your place I would have bought the original one first.
