Some of these boasts are flat out impossible

I’m currently doing the quest where we save the boy from the hobgoblin cave.

And it’s ludicrous to expect me to protect him without him being touched.

Not only do enemy’s continuously spawn in in large clusters but on top of that enemy’s you’ve killed in previous rooms immediately respawn.

I walked out into a hallway and 2 enemy’s spawned on top of me and the boy immediately hitting him failing the boast.

get force push up a bit and other than the mages lobbing spells at him, you can easily knock away any hobbes that get close

I started another quest that says I failed the boast right as the quest starts.

Supposed to protect briar rose without her being touched but right after the quest starts it fails is this some kind of bug?

none of the boasts are impossible, I've done playthroughs without failing a single one, you just need to be quick sometimes to do the ones that say to not have ally take any damage, slow time helps for this.
Though it does depend on your build, some boasts are much harder with some builds than others.

But this last one I did Is literally failing as soon as it starts.

She couldn’t have taken damage none of he enemy’s are close enough to touch her.
