Even then, there's pretty big limits to what can be done. Being on the Unreal engine hasn't made it easier to make tools, as you'll still need to reverse engineer to find hooks to build from. This is doubly true for a first person mod.
I was really hoping to play the entire game in the ''Chicken Chasers'' perspective.
Thanks for the response mate.
If you knew anything you'd know the engine the game uses and as someone else pointed out the limitations, even then the engine and such for the game can not support such actions..
also that's not what vorpx is used for... -face palm- just reading that made me lose all faith.
Too be fair, the engine has no problem with first person(no 3D engine has a direct problem with it). But yeah, the game wasn't built for it, no question. But unless one has really intimate knowledge of Unreal Engine, it's not gonna happen.
But hypothetically, You'd "just" need to find the camera object, and move it in front of the model(Which'd require finding some way of hooking into the game code, which is what programs like ReShade, and Script Extender(For Bethesda games) do).
Which would be a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ experience, and just better to remove the model from being rendered(hoping collision code doesn't depend on it's rendering).
Him being a programmer or not, he is obviously not a video game programmer(neither am I for that matter), but could still know how to code and be making other unrelated software(Making an CMS is vastly different from making a video game, two complete separate skill sets). What we can say for sure is, he's not a modder(at least not for games that doesn't have official mod support), and he probably doesn't do reverse engineering.
Also VorpX does exactly what he said. It allows playing non-vr games in a stereo 3D VR enviornment(I.e; the VR headset function as a flat screen, potentionally with camera movement tied to the head movement), he wasn't implying VorpX made non-vr games into vr games.
"Instead of lying and adding something like "Full time programmer" for absolutely no reason and no grounds to do so, is pretty troll and attention seekish."
1. What makes you think I was lying when I stated that I was a "Full Time Programmer"?
It's not like i'm saying i'm a Hollywood celebrity or the President...just an ordinary programmer.
2. I didn't state my career for the sake of attention seeking.
I stated it so that the responders would be aware that I 'may' have the necessary programmatic skills to begin modding/DYI as opposed to just being linked a mod.
"If you knew anything you'd know the engine the game uses and as someone else pointed out the limitations, even then the engine and such for the game can not support such actions.."
1. I don't know anything when it comes to modding, thats why I asked the question to begin with.
Don't discourage people from asking questions, or else they won't learn. It's quite cliche.
"also that's not what vorpx is used for... -face palm- just reading that made me lose all faith."
1. That is exactly what VorpX is used for.
I've used the same technique to play countless other games.
2. If you would like a tutorial on what VorpX actually is, I would be happy to link you some videos that explain its full functionality.
We can't have people spreading lies about a product, it would damage it's reputation.
I'm sure you understand.
3. What did you lose faith in exactly?
Conclusion:
What was the point of your comment?
Are you trying to start dramas?
Just relax and breathe, not everyone in this world is out to get you.
After reading your comment, I've lost faith in you.
But i'm willing to regain that faith if you admit that you misunderstood my comment, and apologise.
That's up to you.
Regardless, enjoy your day.
