Check out the lore on google or something. There’s lore that goes into the old kingdom also having a special mask that was the Queen and another that was the King. Jack killed them both, I believe.

Yup, pretty cut and dry. Don’t see why there’s any confusion here. He even laughs at you for being foolish enough to put it on. You’re literally one step away from actually killing him, and choosing to put on the mask effectively “kills” your character by replacing any free will you had with Jack’s control over you.
Edit: like I said, man, haven’t played in ages. It’s probably Scythe who warns you. I doubt you’ll get a better answer than that.
