Best weapon in the game?

I remember on the original game that the Sword of Aeons was the best weapon in the game for killing your own sister. Is this still the case? I heard they halved the damage or something.

Sword of Aeons was reduced to 230, There is another sword called Avo's Tear that is identical to the SoA besides looks and it basically the good version of it. It can be acquired pretty soon after throwing away the SoA if you choose to do so but only if you throw it, you cannot have both.

The highest damaging weapon is the Solus Greatsword at 314, which can be gotten easily at the store in Bowerstone North. There is also the Bereaver Greatsword in the Necropolis demon door, which has an attack of 285 with a health augment and a two free slots.

Sword of Aeons and Avos tear are pretty much the best weapons in the game but once you get to late game magic is more powerful anyway

i'd say the sword in Bowerstone North is the best one. who's really gonna be constantly hitting a target? dps dose not really work if you need to dodge attacks. Summoners and trolls are go down quick if you can get that sword and max out speed and strength.
