Is this game controller compatible?

I have an Xbox One controller. Will it work with this game as default?

Yes, this game has Full Controller support, I use a 360 gamepad but a Xbox 1 pad will also work.

I think it's worth it, I have not seen this game on sale in a very long time, and it might not because Lionhead is gone. I really like Fable though so I might be a little biased, I own this on both the Xbox and here on PC. As well as the Original and TLC version 2 and 3 for Xbox too.

Cool i hope you have fun with it, I do think fable is a game every rpg fan should play at least once or twice.

No. This game doesn't work with an Xbox One controller. It apparently can, but you have to play with your device manager to force it to default to the Xbone controller.

Lol, incorrect. Since I posted this many months ago, I have since been playing with it and completed the game using my Xbox One controller with no issues..,

I know it sounds silly, but I'm actually trying to get it to work with a Switch controller. I have a PS4 controller, but my PC rejects it every time I plug it in. My Switch controller works with Skyrim and Fallout 4, so I figured it was all set to work with everything else. But not Fable, it seems. Does anybody have a solution, or is it simply because Microsoft is hating on Nintendo controllers?

yeah man im pretty sure switch didnt even exist when they made the game so the possibility of it working with this older xbox game is around 0% unless you find some backdoor program to trick it

True, but the Switch didn't exist with Skyrim either, or the other games I'm playing at the moment such as Sonic Adventure DX or Disgaea PC Edition, and yet it work perfectly with them. But I've since bit the bullet and I'm playing it with mouse and keyboard anyway. Just very strange why it doesn't work with a Switch controller when I've enabled it to behave like an Xbox one.

I've currently picked up Fable Anniversary and I'm having fun with it, I am having trouble with my Xbox One gamepad compatibility, When attempting to play with the gamepad it's as if the controls were never mapped out. Any Idea how to fix this?

Hi, I faced the same problem. You need to download ReWASD (it is paid, but I can give an unofficial link) and download the config from the official site rewasd. com/community/config/fable-anniversary-controller-support/e747736e10953e87b7cc79bfa0e2f317

Or simply enable steam input for this game in steam! Playing it with XBone controller without the need of any 3rd party program...
