Title Screen Crashing. White screen of death! Please help!
I boot the game, it makes it all the way to the "Fable Anniversary" title page and then once I hit any button the screen fades to white and I get an error message "Out of video memory". The game was installed and played just fine yesterday without a single issue, now today it keeps havig this error. I've already run the file check to make sure everything is where its supposed to be and got the positive back from the check. I've also switched to the Beta build and I was still having the same issue. Ive reinstalled the DirectX through the game folders. My GPU drivers are also up to date. I desperately need help for a fix here. I love this game and was beyond excited playing it yesterday and now I dont know what to do.. I dont want to have to return it, I just want to play the game.

My specs are as follows:

OS: Windows 10
RAM: 16GB
CPU: i7-8750H
GPU: GeForce GTX 1070

I have similar specs and similar issues running Fable: white or black screens of death at startup. Windows 10 issue, maybe?

Maybe this, from another user?

Did I couple of more tests, following the other posters advice to look the following key in the registry:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders\Personal

Turns out that Fable is *extremely* sensitive to what is in there. I tried with network paths and it crashed (although a little "later" then before).
Then I compared the current value (working) with an old one... here is the difference:
Old : "d:\My Documents"
New: "D:\My Documents"

So the one thing that I didn't try to fix it because several other posts I read people said it didn't work was uninstalling and then reinstalling the game. Attempted to do the uninstall and reinstall as a last ditch effort and it worked! The game boots and runs fine now. Im not sure what that does to fix the game that the file verification doesn't detect but it worked for me, thank god.
