White Screen Crash Fix

I've been searching all morning to a fix for my white screen crash problem on the discussions here, finally found the solution I needed in a locked topic htat was locked cause a patch was supposed to fix it. Here's the original thread and the quote from it that helped me.

Did I couple of more tests, following the other posters advice to look the following key in the registry:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders\Personal

Turns out that Fable is *extremely* sensitive to what is in there. I tried with network paths and it crashed (although a little "later" then before).
Then I compared the current value (working) with an old one... here is the difference:
Old : "d:\My Documents"
New: "D:\My Documents"

That's right, just the drive letter in uppercase. And yes, changing to lowercase makes Fable crash again at the startup.


Just as a note another fix I found was a cracked exe. And that also worked, but the one that worked was Russian so I couldn't use it. I just find it funny that I had to download a crack for a game I owned.

Im still confused as how to fix it. What and where am i supposed to be changing it?

I found a fix, i read others restarted their pc and it fixed and it failed the first 4 times but the 5th worked
