Can't play the game: stuck in a white screen

So I bought Fable Anniversary in the Winter Sale and decided to boot it now (rather, I'm trying since yesterday), but I get stuck in a white screen. After wainting a while, I press Esc and a sillouette appears, but the game crashes. Tried uninstalling it, checking the cache, opening it from the shortcut and from my library. I searched around and it seems people were having similar issues since 2014, but not many of them actually had a solution."Funny" thing is, my activity is still being registered, as I apparently have 22 minutes of "gameplay". I ask for help, but please, do keep in mind I'm not tech savvy and actually sort of new with PC gaming

btw, I have 3 other games and they work great, It's Fable that is giving me trouble. I hope I don't have to refund because this would be my Fable debut

Going to be a shot in the dark, but try launching the game as admin. Find the exe in the folders, right click, and find "run as admin".

it should be in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Fable Anniversary, right? well there're only 4 folders there named "_CommonRedist", "Binaries", "Engine" and "WellingtonGame", but no .EXE

Ok, so i've found the .EXE now, but it says something about the map not being found and it asks if i want to use the default one instead, choosing No closes the window and choosing Yes does nothing
