Launches to white screen and wont start

So whenever I attempt to start the game (no mods) the app populates into a white screen and seconds after that a second but much smaller white screen pops up, the little white screen says nothing at all other than to click "ok" and the application closes out. No matter how long I wait the game does nothing, I have tried to verify the files, search for a setup.exe file (to no avail) and searching for a fix with no success has anyone else experienced this? p.s. sorry if tl;dr

I had the same thing happen to me. I turned off my "controlled folder access" security setting, allowed a few files, and it ran just fine after that. Good luck!

it is a problem of key register,fable hd cant make save folder and crash(also cant save your plays) ,use regedit and change the next key
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders\Personal

set value to "C:\Users"

the save folder of fable hd can be created now in the folder Users with the name "My Games"

should works.

I am having this issue. I just uninstalled and reinstalling to see if it helps but i kept getting a white screen with no message. Love this game

Thanks for the reply. I gave this a shot but did not have any luck. I changed the registry key like you recommended, and I can see that Fable HD has created a file in my C:/Users folder, but I still get a white screen and shut down after the dev logos. I'm getting an error message that steam cannot sync my save file with the cloud as well befroe it starts.

I noticed the C:\Users folder is set to 'read-only', but whenever I tried to change it, it would revert right back when I looked again, so I'm not sure how to change this or if I need to.

Second update: I changed the folder permissions themselves to allow 'everyone' full control of the 'users' folder and now I was able to download the save games from Steam. I can see my old save games in the correct folder now, but I am still getting the error message, so I think it is unrelated to the issue you originally mentioned. Thanks for the advice anyways.

Hi Major Iris!

When I try to launch Fable Anniversary, it plays the developer logos, but after that it goes to a white screen before shutting down completely. I have tried the other fixes mentioned in this thread with no luck.
