I don't remember you losing your keys before an optional demon door much later down the line.
In regards to the first question you can fight thunder and marry lady grey but if you investigate her then she will force you to give her the letter. But if you dont fight thunder you can turn her in.
Just a note if you marry lady grey you get 15k gold.
2. Yes, you need to mary her in order to unlock the Demon Door at the Grey House.
3. The door for which you need to surrender you Silver Keys is almost at the end of the story. Make sure you get Archons Battle Armor before giving away your keys (the chest is prety much next to the Demon Door) and collecting the keys throughtout your playthrough shouldnt be a problem. The moment you reach the Key Door you should have opened pretty much every chest in the game (The 30 key chest in Lost Bay is the exception)
4. While playing my last playthrough I noticed that bug as well. I dont think it has anything to do with being good/evil. Its a problem with Bows/skill in general. When I used a bow my CM didnt incease either. Switch to a Melee weapon and you should be fine. Going in and out of the Hobbe cave killing the little buggers, than killing the troll at greatwood caves should do the trick (worked for me). The trick is nog getting hit so spells like Physical Shield, Assassins Rush and Force Push are great! (I played on Heroic mode so I dont know if its different on "normal" mode. Fewer hobbes spawning or something like that could make it harder)
Hope this helps!
On the subjext of Silver Keys, it should be noted that there are 30 of them, and there is a Chest that requires ALL of them in a late area in the game (the largest number of keys needed in the original game was 20, though there were some extras, so you didn't have to collect all of them back then). As some people have noticed, there are 2 keys which can become unobtainable through story choices. Those keys are the one in Headman's Cave, and the one in Lady Grey's bedroom located in Bowerstone Manor.
For the one located on Headman's Cave, you normally reach it during the duel with Thunder in the "Mayor's Invitation" quest. But, if you took the "Investigating the Mayor" and proceeded with that first, to the point of NOT dueling with Thunder, naturally, the Silver Key down in Headman's Cave becomes unobtainable.
However, it should be noted that there is a glitch you can perform at any point in the game which allows the player to reach Headman's Cave even if they didn't fight Thunder. The way to do this is to first go to Headman's Hill, and go over to the Chest in the area, directly to its LEFT. Once you are there, use the Guild Seal to go to the Guild, and then use the Recall function from the Cullis Gate in the Guild. The game will of course try to take you back to where you were standing, however, due to how close to the area's edge you were, it will place you in the area below, where you can fish for the Silver Key. The way to get out of this area normally (the Demon Door) will be locked since you have not killed Thunder there, so you will have to use the Guild Seal to leave (Make sure you get the other things from the area first though, cause getting there again will be tedious)
As for the Silver Key located in Lady Grey's bed in her Bedroom, it is normally reached by either marrying Lady Grey (you gain access this way since you become her Husband, and, well, I won't say more on that), or by becoming the Mayor yourself after Lady Grey runs away from you exposing her. HOWEVER, it is possible to miss it by choosing to marry the woman who helps you woo Lady Grey during the "Investigating The Mayor" quest, both that quest and the "Mayor's Invitation" quests will fail. THERE IS NO KNOWN GLITCH WHICH GRANTS YOU ACCESS IF THIS HAPPENS.
that was the choice i made the first time i played the game back when it was new. cause you know, roly playing and all, id rather have someone who was concerned with me and clearly cared, than some rich uppity big breasted skank.
Also, thinking about it, it can lock you out of being able to get the "Open Saysamemiddlefinger" achievevement if you have not been flipping the doors off as you go and become unable to open any single Demon Door, via missing an Item or just failing to meet various triggers, for instance, marrying Lady Grey at one point in the playthrough.
Even if you somehow managed to find the Address for one of the keys, changing its Value to something higher than 1 (the most likely Value for a collected Key) probably wouldn't do anything, since the game's code probably just looks at whether or not a key has been collected when calculating the total (this is extremely likely, considering that the Hero Save exploit was patched for the Anniversary edition). If the equation used to calculate Silver Keys doesn't have addresses on every area in it, then hacking that will be outright impossible.
my mistake, it was 2 seperate scripts. 1 had JUST the silver keys. its literally the first result when you google "fable anniversary cheat engine" and it works perfectly. its also a year old post.
