Missing MSVCP100.dll file

I recently purchased Fable Anniversary but whenever I try to load it, I get the message "The code execution cannot proceed because MSVCP100.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix this problem."

I have spent hours on google trying to figure this out plus tried some things I thought might work, but nothing is working.

Here are the things I have tried:

reinstalled microsoft visual c++
ran sfc command
ran virus scan
disk clean up
defrag
memory diagnostic
ran diagnostic at startup through the system configuration menu

I am hoping that some of you more knowledgealbe in technical issues than I am might have the answer.

You could try verifying your game files thru steam game properties if still not working i would suggest going into your steam game folder and look for _CommonRedist and reinstall .NetFrameWork located in the DotNet Folder this is only nessessary if steam did not properly install these during the first run process I would advise running the file verification first as this would be more simple for you.

And under no senario should you install any .dill files on the internet i know some people do this thinking it will fix the issues but this will only do harm to your computer most of these .dill downloads are just viruses

Also make sure that your Video Drivers and Operating System is completely up to date

Thank you so much! It's working now. It was just a matter of reinstalling NetFrameWork like you suggested.

I should add though that I didn't have a folder called DotNet. But in the _CommonREdist folder I installed DXSETUP under DirectX/June 2010 and vcredist_x64 and vcredist_x86 under vcredist/2010. Anyway, thank you so much. I couldn't have figured that out on my own.
