Level 1, ending 2?

I need help. In level 1, I let her shank me so many times even after opening the door, but I still can't get ending 2. It defaults to ending 1.

I was able to get it on the Itch.io version, but it's not working on steam. Not sure if it's a bug or what

I found it only worked when I opened the door and was actually outside the apartment when she stabbed me down. It didn't work if the door was open but I was still inside the apartment

Many times I was out the apartment and in the lobby where I let her shank me. Still gave me ending one.

I got it by going into the lobby then angering her to chase me with her knife, then exiting while she chases me

It might depend on how you're opening the door too. I tried getting it by having her opening it for me then making her mad, but it didn't count.

For me, the easiest way to get it is to speed run giving her the completed blue parrot statue. This raises her trist level a lot so ask her what her favourite food is, log into her PC and find where the exit key is. Grab the key, run towards the exit and stop in the lobby. If she's not chasing you, start typing swear words ar her until she decides to kill you.

Oh huh! I haven't seen the same password twice so far so I assumed it was randomised each session. Same with the secret room keypad code.

The room keypad might be random, but it's instant to get it anyway so it isn't worth remembering. As for the food codes, the ones I have so far include: paella falafel strawberry sashimi biryani sushi toast steak pizza pasta rice bagel ramen There may be a couple more, but usually trying out the shorter ones is fast enough before having to talk to her again without her getting mad. :x

That sounds like it takes way more work and time than just saying "What do you want for dinner?" when the level starts up to get the computer password. She always says her favorite food.
And then just turn on the hot water in both bathrooms for the keypad. Again faster than trying every possible password

I keep everyone set to arrogant and negative personality traits though. It adds challenge. If I tried asking her that she'd almost certainly shank me one. :x
