Capitalism at its finest, but then again, that could have prevented with some layout changes in the first place. Maybe building icons or letters in place of geometrical shapes, and make the artwork so that it does less resemble MM's artwork style. Oh well, too late for that.

Anyway, design choices in minimalistic games are ALWAYS very similar. You can’t trademark that in my opinion. And please don’t get me wrong, Mini Metro is definitely a good game (before anyone wonders, I played it on another account), but there are also a lot of other programming-like games that exactly use the same interface and look, it’s just based on the GENRE (just look at Shapez, the Velone controversy etc.). Long story short, yeah, obviously it’s tragically over for AQR, because this tiny dev got no money or energy to fight this accusation, but it leaves me very sad nevertheless. And I’m definitely gonna think twice before buying anything from DPC again.
Very disgusting stuff. I purchased AQR recently and I'm enjoying it a lot; despite not being as pretty as MM, it's a really good game (better than MM imho), and if anyone wanna try it I encourage you to buy it because it will disappear from steam in next weeks (yes, you can thank dino for that).
But AQR's team is much smaller, and lawsuits can be expensive...
AQR indeed is a very nice game, one whose gameplay I actually prefer over either of the MM. Too bad it has to end this way. For those interested, get it before is gone!
Delete your Steam account so you're not participating in this terrible, broken system, then.
