Son of Thanjai, for the lack of a better phrasing, is an experience in itself. It’s a story about power, duty, and legacy, set during one of the most extraordinary–yet overlooked–eras in history: the Chola dynasty. 

You play as a young king, Rajendra Chola, caught between destiny and duty. This is the emotional journey of a man who had greatness thrust upon him; someone who carries the weight of his father’s legacy and must carve his own path in a changing world. 

3 years after his conquest of Sri Vijaya, a triumphant Rajendra Chola returns home. But... 

Thanjavur is no longer the empire he left behind. Whispers of unrest echo through its temples and streets. Allies seem uncertain; enemies hide in plain sight; foreign saboteurs inch closer to his throne.
