This is the thread to discuss the next-gen version of the game sticking to 9th Gen consoles this year and not coming to PC.

Here's a personal opinion on this that a member of 2K staff provided in the past for NBA 2K as the same thing happened with that franchise:

Wanted to address the PC discussion and give some insight from a business perspective on why it takes time for sports games to make the transition on PC's vs. console. I can assure you, this isn't 'laziness', in fact, this has been the case nearly every single generation - it normally takes a few years to see this change occur. Here's a big reason why:

As much as hardcore gamers buy new consoles or super high-powered PC's, most players do not own the biggest/brightest tech out there. When looking at what gen to put on PC, you have to look at the player base, and what capabilities their hardware has from a minimum spec perspective.

So let's say to run the new gen you need a much higher spec'ed PC, you may cut off 30-40% of the PC market, who is able to play the game at min-spec on older gen. Usually after new consoles come out, there's a big uptick in players improving PC's more casually, and games that have yearly iterations base decisions like this on the percentage of players on PC who meet the min spec threshold.

I know most in here are hardcore players, as are most of us, so this can be frustrating, but PC is vastly different than console, where everyone is on the same machine. Therefore, you have to base decisions on where the most amount of players can play. That's the business side of it.

Funnily enough, every single time I have had to tell someone they didn't have AVX2,it was because of an Intel processor. The majority were i7-3770 models. At least one was a Pentium which went obsolete when SSE 4.2 became a requirement a few years back. I own almost every WWF/E console game going back to War Zone. I'm disappointed too because I'm not on 9th Gen yet but I'm not going to take it personally that they couldn't find a way to get The Island on 8th Gen consoles though. They're doing what they think it best for business. That's not a defence, that's a fact of life, unfortunately.

And that processor came out in April 2012. 🤣🤣🤣 Nearly 18 months before the PS4 launched 🤣🤣🤣


But nah best for business. Watch this game get record lows because we are sick of getting second class versions for people who haven't upgraded in a decade.

Isn't it funny though how many games that requires avx 2 processors do well on PC.

Going to kill their profits making the minimum specs jump one generation forward isn't it?

It's a complete joke that an entire mode is cut for that. Well I'm voting with my wallet and can say with certainty I am not buying this game unless 2k relent and drop the special editions prices or add the island into the game.

And brag all you want about how many you've owned. My first WWF game was wwf raw on the super Nintendo and I've had it every year since then. Hell although not bought at release I even had the Xbox, nintendo and GameCube exclusive games with the preorder always on playstation until the games released on PC back in 2015.

From what I've seen, you have to unlock and pay separately for the same items (male & female). And you can't customize the color of the parts unlocked either.

WWE 2K24 was better on PC then it was on PS4, I had it for both, the PS4 version would get choppy if you had too many Wrestlers in the ring at the sane time, the PC version didn't get choppy, plus the PC version better graphic, so I assume it's the same this time around too... only thing missing on pc is that island mode and what ever comes with it.
