METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN

METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN

How did Ocelot/Kaz end up being at Big Boss's side? And some more questions.
I've just watched MGS3 movie-playthrough, read MGS PO story on wiki in short, and I've beaten MGS PW on PSP quite a while ago.

No trace of how Kaz joined Big Boss. Can anyone explain how they met or tell in which game I can find the answer?

Same with Ocelot, how did he end up helping Big Boss in TPP?
Where has he been during PW and GZ?
Though it didn't seem like Snake wanted to kill Ocelot. However the latter seemed to try, but at the same time he was kind of toying and playing with Snake instead, not sure what to think, any explaination on that?
Clueless about Ocelot's actual goal and whom he works for as well, can anyone tell?

The story is so twisted, often even simple actions are confusing and out of place(like the Boss actually fighting Snake instead just shooting herself, she seemed to anyway want Snake to be the survivor afterall). At least for me. Very confusing.

I've got quite a bunch a questions above, but if you could, answers to any would be appreciated, thanks in advance!

I agree the story is pretty complex. But that's a lot of what makes it good ya know? :D:

As for Kaz this explains his first encounter with Big Boss in Columbia

http://metalgear.wikia.com/wiki/Kazuhira_Miller#First_encounter_with_Big_Boss

They were at first enemies. Then he convinces him to join MSF

As for Ocelot it's not really explained yet how he came to Big Boss's side. I'm sure we'll find this out in TPP though.

Yea, I liked the story in PW, despite I haven't yet gathered it as a whole in my head. PW is pretty much how I entered MGS.

Seen the Miller page on wiki, but haven't yet read through, was hoping I could see that in a game via some let's play. So is it shown in any game?

Glad that the alliance will likely be explained in TPP so I can see it properly! For some reason I like revolvers, Ocelot seems to be pretty awesome character to me :D:
Are the answers for the other Ocelot related questions not quite explained yet as well?

And Thanks for the help!

Yeah since Ocelot isn't shown in Peace Walker or Ground Zeroes so it's hard to say why he has joined Diamond Dogs.

Miller meeting Big Boss isn't shown in any game no. Since Miller is first seen in Peace Walker while he has already joined MSF

This is very confusing but at the same time makes me feel I'm pretty ready for the story to be revealed in TPP.

Thanks! =)

Edit: Though I wonder how/from where the info got to wiki then, augh, mr. Kojima!

It's sad that the story about Kaz is only explained in the Japanese version of GZ:

Yes, thanks! Found these recently, and digging the wiki. It seems to arise even more questions then it answers.
Atm struggling to figure out why Skullface wants a revenge on Big Boss and Zero. And I don't get it how Zero is a villain, he seemed to be Big Boss's commander for Snake Eater.

Thanks for the help, guys!

To sum it up for you: Both Major Zero and Big Boss want to bring about the Boss's (MGS3) dream of uniting the world. Major Zero believes in doing this through the use of force and world domination. "Peace" through "Victory." Big Boss on the other hand want to liberate soldiers from their roles as puppets of the state. Zero needs BB and his military might but BB refuses. Peace Walker is Zero's attempt to force BB to join the patriots (cipher) at gunpoint. It fails. I don't know the grand plot of TPP, but from that I can tell GZ was Zero's plan b: Wipe out BB and MSF. That might just be what they want us to think, so Zero's true intentions are still unknown.

Kaz I think is already explained and if you play all of the other metal gears you know Ocelot is only truly loyal to one man-Big Boss, so I think that explains in part Ocelot's more overt helping Big Boss in The Phantom Pain.

Aha, so Zero wanted to destroy MSF due to BB refusing, because doing so via ZEKE failed. However, it was Skullface who destroyed big Boss, right? Then did Skullface actually followed Zero's orders? Wiki and GZ seem to say that Skullface wants some revenge on both Zero and BB.

Thanks for the info! =)

I believe skull face probably was following orders for his 'pirate crackdown', and that zero however does not know that paz survived as paz says during her questioning 'do you think you can get away with this cipher is watching.' and sf seems unconerned by this. Skullface is clearly working for zero as he 'recieves order through proxy' and the similarities of XOF to FOX. Skullface though does want revenge on both zero and big boss and by following Zero's ordersh e deals with big boss and by interrogating paz he gets the other.

So XOF attack on MBase was under Zero's order and not SFace's personal revenge to BB?

It wont be explained fully until tpp but my theory is
Although Skullface wanted revenge on Big Boss (hence the 'shame I will not see him there but I will see his body") Zero ordered the attack on MSF as MSF and Zeke would be a major throne in his side in his quest for a 'world without borders' Skullface was given the oppurtunity to get his revenge through Zero's orders.

But why did SFace even want a revenge, what did BB do to him?

We'll see in The Phantom Pain!:KOh:

Just remember that BB was one of the original founders of the Patriots, so Skullface might just hate the Patriots (like Ocelot and everyone else). Even though, like Ocelot, he ultimately ends up working for them.
