UI choices
I am a little confused by the logic behind UI...
I mean, why do I need to bring up a menu to skip a cutscene? Why are there unskippable minutes-long videos? Why do I need to see every minute detail of every numeric progression imaginable? Why can't I mute the music ingame?
This game came out in 2015, I'm sure the standards for UI and interaction were already much higher then.
Are there any shortcuts/hidden ways to improve the above please?

There's a menu in case you want to pause the cutscene and not skip it.
Most cutscenes are skippable, which ones are you talking about?
yeah the lack of sound options is puzzling

I think after the first mission, some video about nuclear proliferation plays that can't be skipped.

It has some redeeming qualities like being able to change the music volume ingame and skip every cutscene. Also the walk loop animation doesn't make me wanna throw up from motion sickness.

you meaning running? turn off camera shake for that
