MGSV:TPP NVIDIA Promo Code Question

So I purchased a GTX 970 off Amazon and got a coupon code by email that I can enter in at https://redeem.geforce.com/ for TPP. Question: Will I be able to redeem the code for a tradable copy of the game? That is, if I'm not interested in this game, will I be able to trade it via Steam?

When you redeem the code on the geforce site, you must log in to your Steam account there and the game will be added directly to your library so if you want to give the game away, you have to give the coupon code to the person.

No. You can only sell the serial key through various sites across the web. Including e-bay. But you can't get a tradable copy of the game.

Well be "just" I mean bought yesterday and got them today so hopefully it'll not take too long. Thank for the help, wish they'd just drop in a card with the codes in the box.

Nvidia Key is only for basic game? Its not "preorder" version of the game with bonus stuff?
I already have mgs5 in libary but was hoping i get GZ too ;)

OP, you won't get a tradeable copy. It redeems straight to your account. If you want to trade the game, you have to trade away the NVidia voucher code.

No offense, but I don't think this is necessarily true. I'm not aware of any place that allows you to return a GPU. Most places only have a replacement-policy RMA, so once you buy the GPU, you're stuck with it whether you like it or not. At least, that's the case at Newegg. Not really sure about Amazon...

I bought a 980 back when they gave Batman and TW3 codes with it, and I got those codes within 24 hours of purchasing the GPU.

a lot of stores around here have a 1-7 day return policy, so they only send you the codes after that time is over.

I bought a 960 with 4GB VRAM a month ago (it's enough for me, I know it's not the best) I got a code for the NVIDIA website, then linked my Steam account, then the game appeared in my library.

If you want to give it away keep the code and then give that to someone.
