Please separate Depth of Field from the Screen Filtering settings since it becomes near impossible to aim down sights with it on Extra High.
Raw Mouse input and sensitivity scaling would really help with aiming down with the Sniper Scope and Binoculars.
Bring back the fantastic quality optimization from Ground Zeroes.
GZ also had a pretty bare tutorial for controls, would love to see a better made tutorial for movement, CQC, gunplay and etc for TPP.
As you can see I'm still here too, patiently waiting!
Critical:
- Sound options (Simple or detailed);
- More screen resolutions, 21:9 support;
- Windows 10, DirectX 12 support;
- Full mouse support over the menus (a windows cursor is enough to move around and access everything as we please);
- Correct the mouse sensivity scale while full zooming in (Difficult to snipe and scout with this sensivity we got in GZ);
- Native DS4 support (prompts, etc);
- When releasing the LMB, release the guard we are holding as well (We can't in GZ PC);
- Unlocked FPS;
- No pop-ups when playing at max settings;
- Monitor frenquency (for 120/144hz);
- Shift button to stop running (While running, Snake can't stop running, you have to stop and then walk again);
- Same features (or more) from the console version (like imported tracks and companions);
- Dedicated servers for the online component (or both, dedicated or not);
- Same optimization or better than GZ;
- Improved camera over Snake, depending on the situation he's in;
- Field of view (FOV) option;
- Support for modding on the PC platform;
- Valve (or other) anti-cheat enable for the online;
- Full customizable M&K;
- No mouse loading bug showing in-game;
- Co-op(?); At least I tried xD.
Miscellaneous:
- Achievements;
- Steam cloud;
- Steam workshop;
- Full controller support;
- Changeable language and subtitles in-game;
- Steam trading cards;
- SDK;
- VR support;
Once again, thanks Robert!
- Custom soundtrack. Would be really cool to choose my chopper theme from my mp3s.
- A separate option to toggle depth of field effect on/off. Many gamers (me included) don't like this effect and it's so common that even the PCgamingwiki gives tips on how to disable it by editing the game files.
Ah okay, my bad, i missunderstood a bit :)
One thing that bothers me a lot about GZ is that the camera is so close to Snake when he's crouching, specially indoors, he takes up a lot of the screen. Would a "max camera distance" slider or something like that be possible maybe?
I understand it may be too late for this, but i'd also like to see if you guys could provide people (even if it's just a application process or a select community member group or something) a early demo or MGO beta or something aswell to make sure that the game is really solid on a wide range of hardware, Ground Zeroes was great on PC, and with the recent issues some games have faced on PC etc, I feel that The Phantom Pain would really benefit from a nice solid PC port that runs great on a huge range of hardware, another advantage would be you guys could get a wider range of hardware to give a better idea with system requirements too, as GZ was over estimated quite a fair bit.
Mouse cursor in menus would be great.
The body limit in ground zeroes where if you piled up guys in one area they'd start disappearing. This HAS to be removed.
Co-op like peacewalker.
If there's a smartphone app, to try and make it work with PC too.
Dual-audio again. If possible make it so it uses the same save file(in GZ they were different saves).
here are some of my thoughts:
- In your gameplay demo at E3, you showed a guy captured for the cause of language, same thing could happen in different powerlevels for cultural stuff, like the more cultural anchored guys you fetch, the better disguises you get....and so on
- i guess this one is not gonna happen, since d-dog is already designed.....BUT i would love to see the dog from shinobi 3 on sega mega drive just as a reference, maybe as skin or something
- further i guess you also already have planned a training camp for the soldiers you capture, but how about the option to teach them a special kind of moral or tactical choice, the more in depth the better, also
- It would be awesome if you could train your captured soldiers for multiplayer use, because i think most multiplayer games depend on the number of people you play with in your team, wich destroys the balanced and fair multiplayer in many games.
- please watch out, that the landscape doesnt get to generic or repetetive
- please watch out, that the microtransactions not only dont get p2w but also dont get pay for advantage, wich means that it will be actually pay to win, because players get stuff earlier and get to powerfull compared to others
- an strange but maybe interesting idea.....since you want your base to be able to have a zoo, how about the idea to copy behaviour to choose from from special animals, i dont know an example right now, but i guess you get the idea, its about hunting instincts, distractions and so on
- plant life should matter to. like for example poisoned plants in africa, or even better marihjuna to distract or stun your enemies.
wait for more ideas to come from me.
in love with games, especially your detailed and beloved created worlds

The features PC gamers want—an open letter to developers and gamers
-On the fly, seamless controller/M&Kb switching
-Maybe FOV too
In addition to the Durante stuff.
Thanks for doing this again.
