METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN

Adding a radar on the top-right corner of the screen, toggle on or off, like previous Metal Gear titles.
I am wondering if it would be possible to add this feature, a radar on the top-right corner of the screen, like there was on previous Metal Gear Solid titles. From all the gameplay I saw, that seems to be an option that me and perhaps many other would enjoy to have. It could be like an option you could toggle in your game menu, use it only if you wish. I´d rather have that than the current map we have available... what do you think?

For me with all the tagging it's not needed.

Tagging with binoculars has pretty much replaced the radar. With that said, I am sure you will be able to invent sonars and other ways of detecting guards through motherbase, just like in Peace Walker.

Yeah, you could create the Soliton Radar System in Peace Walker, so you can probably cook up a radar in this too at some point.

There's a reason that there's no map, no health bars, no camo index, no icons, no hud and the main reason that Kojima stated himself is: immersion.

I was under the impression that is what the tagging system replaced. The radar was to perfect.

I use my smartphone as an idroid to place markers or to call in morpho and stuff in GZ. :)
It is pretty handy and that way you dont have to open up the ingame idroid all the time. Moreover the game doesnt pause if you access the idroid. I hope that there will be an app for The Phantom pain aswell.

It's a shame this app is not supported for the PC version.

Wouldn't mind it per se, but it's kinda pointless if it has the usual range. Enemies aren't limited in vision range like they were in previous iterations.

Not worried bout there not being a radar, you have enough tools at your desposal to make up for it.

Got the marking with recon scope and that crazy sonar ground slam thing you can do that seems to be quite quiet for what it does.
Overall not having a map to stare at with vision cones on it isnt a big deal when im not stuck in a super confined space.
the reason it wasn't around in snake eater and following games was because of technology contraints in the 60's and such however it's the 80's now. we had radar in the 80's. lol. and even if there were to be some form of technological debate against mobile radar.. it would die out with the fulton system that sends you through a portal. If they can do that. they can do radar.
