METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN

METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN

Am i completely stupid or is the "Blood Runs Deep" mission ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ annoying?
the kids will not follow me when I whistle, they do whatever the ♥♥♥♥ they want. now im at the LZ and the helcopter is here, and they will not follow me to the helicopter. i whistle to my hearts content and they just sit there. when i get on the helicopter Kaz says i'm leaving the targets so im assuming they have to come with me...so wtf?

I'm pretty sure you have to stick with them, and you wouldn't whistle, on the left theres a Go/Wait command that you need to be next to them to use, but if you get too far they might not do what you want them to

If they annoy you, tranq them. Then call in a jeep or two and put them in that. You can fulton a vehicle with people inside and they count as a rescue.

I personally never had issues with them. You doing the mission at night? You have to keep slightly ahead of them to take out any potential enemies, but the only ones you should come in direct contact with are at the end.

I'm standing right next to them and there is no Go command.

They also won't move if you're in combat/the enemy is in "alert" status and reasonably nearby, they'll just duck for cover and wait for the coast to be clear.

I would do that but I had to start the mission over because they wouldn't move and I ran out of supressor without enough time to get more. Seriously ♥♥♥♥ this ♥♥♥♥.

Except the mission reaches a point where they will inevitably go into a search for the prisoners, and the kids stil wont ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ move when im like 50 feet away from them, then the soldiers catch up and I'm too far away because having to micro-manage a bunch of kids and also get rid of the soldiers in front of them is the opposite of something that is fun.

okay also this helicopter that keeps catching me, could they have made this mission any more annoying? maybe im projecting my lack of ability on the game but escort missions are never fun, and throwing in every possible factor to make it even less fun doesn't help.

luckily i had the rocket launcher to take out the helicopter otherwise yeah this mission could be pretty ♥♥♥♥♥♥. Just tell the kids to move and then run ahead and cqc tranq out everything in your way.

You can get like 100-150m ahead of the kids if u move quickly and then once the heli comes on top of you either blow up the heli or snipe the pilot i guess? I didn't even try to do it stealthily theyll call in reinforcements just shoot em up with your rifle.
I got through it since the kids finally decided to follow me to the LZ. i did literally nothing different from before I posted this, all conditions were the same. something must have been janky i guess.
