METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN

METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN

Weird blurry horizontal lines when moving the camera up and down.
Hey guys, so I have this little problem when I'm moving my camera up and down, some blurry horizontal lines appears randomly and usually go to the bottom of the scren.

I was pretty sure it was a vsync problem but, tried everything in game and in the nvidia control panel and they are still there. I'm playing in fullscreen, too, and with everything at max. I have a constant 60 FPS but those freaking damn lines are really ruining it for me.

Any ideas on how to fix that ? Or hell, any idea of what those ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ lines are ?

I can't even screen them, tried something like 30 times but they are never ever shown on the screen. They look like old TV interferences.

Thanks.

I have a GTX970 and sometimes have had the same problems, usually in cut-scenes. I recommend uninstalling and re-installing your drivers as this is likely related to your GPU.

I will give it a try. To be honest, if it was only in cutscenes, it would have been ok. But it's everytime the camera move either up or down, that's frustrating.

It's because it's your eyes, You can see the refresh rate.
You have ascended.

I would check your video driver control panel, should be an option in there regarding v-sync and triple buffering. For nvidia make sure your global settings aren't overriding the application settings. Don't know what amd is about.

Hey Z,

thanks a lot, it was indeed the Nvidia trple buffering that was causing this, or I guess at least since it disappeared and that's the only thing I touched.

Thanks, once again!

The next step being that you can count the FPS.

I can to confirm, it was vsync that was causing trouble also on my RTX 3060 12gb

Sync was causing this for me, sync at high FPS specifically. When hitting over 165 frames with sync on it causes a lot of problems

I am also facing this same thing with these games ( Sudden strike 4, Desperadoes 3, COH 2, Shadow warrior tactics) up and down and here comes the invisible horizontal lines. Same say that it's due to V-sync don't know they ment in-game settings or GPU settings.
