METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN

Is there a better way of increasing morale?
Because I really hate playing Hide and Seek with my staff members. I don't really have the patience of searching for all of my soldiers at Mother Base just to increase morale. It would take hours and hours.

Not to mention they don't stay permanently marked after you mark them once you come back to Mother Base again. Look, I'm okay with enemies being unmarked after leaving the mission. But it's stupid to think that friendlies get unmarked. What a way to treat friendlies like they're traitors.

Also I don't think Miller's morale ability is helping either. I put him on one unit for a few hours. Then I check back to see the staff of the unit Miller is in and I see no increases whatsoever. I don't know if that's a bug or if Miller's morale boosts are so pathetically miniscule.

Also please don't reply with that "use sonar" bullcrap. I shouldn't have to use that just to find my soldiers. That's just dumb and again, I don't have the patience to spend hours and hours to play hide and seek with my soldiers at Mother Base.

So if anyone knows of a better way of increasing morale, please let me know. If there isn't, Konami needs to make another way of increasing morale.

Also I would like a fast travel option at Mother Base. Tired of using jeeps to drive 1 and a half mile just to get to one platform to the next and whenever I use the helicopter, the pilot just completely takes detours and literally takes 5 minutes to take me to a platform. Wish he would stop admiring how awesome Mother Base is and concentrate on getting me somewhere quicker than the jeeps.

Use the cardboard box

Isn't that only when you're out on missions and not at Mother Base?

well for fast travel use the box on shipping locations. as for morale use the phantom cigar on each platform.
Go to staff management, all units, Sort, descending order Perks, fire everyone with Troublemaker. I have never, ever had a morale problem and I've played since launch.

You can use box travel on mother base too. Just look for the same yellow platforms. They are on the main platforms of every unit, by the main-deck helipad

Well I tried that and I only got one soldier to notice me.

Tried it on another platform and no one noticed me.

I can't say for sure if it's working or not.

Sit near the helipad, next to the stairs, pathways. You'll figure it out.

Well sitting near the helipad worked a lot.

Though I get the feeling that I didn't get "everyone's" attention.

Frankly, just removing all troublemakers works best. I stay out in the field for 5 side ops at a time and I never have morale problems.

Okay so I'm guessing morale never raises their skills at all is what you're saying right?

I have no idea if thats true, I know proficency is raised by using soldiers in the field, or through combat deployment. I'm pretty sure its not true.

I don't even know how to check people's morele...

Morale only provides temporary boosts - you'll still have to find better soldiers as time goes on. A Soldier with an E rating will never advance to S.

The only way I found out to increase their proficency is medals. Which is gained either through combat deployment or through Dispatch Missions.
Morale can give a slight buff to all soldiers stats, but lategame when everyone's at an A or S rank in their various teams, it isn't really a worry. Just fire troublemakers from your unit and you shouldn't have morale problems.
