Do I have to worry about killing quiet?

I just ran across her where it goes into the cut scene and you get in cover.. If I just kill her will it change anything or can she not die during this? I don't want to kill someone who is part of the game and can help me on missions.. I want to shoot her in the head though also.. Just wondering if anything permanent can be messed up here.

You get a chance after you beat her, you can't kill her by using a lethal weapon in the battle though.

Do what I did and drop a supply drop on her position after you ID her on your intscope, which wil knock her unconcious. Imo it's not worth killing her since she has her own storyline that can be accomplished further down the line.

My dog is still super small and nowhere near being able to come with me yet. I'm in the process of sneaking up on her and knock her ass out.

Thanks, I feel like a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ after reading this. I beat her with a tranq SMG since it was the best I had at the time and thought going lethal would kill her

You'll bond faster with her if you defeat her with a non lethal weapon.

How many shots did it take? I shot her about 5 times with the basic silenced tranq and it did nothing.

It definitely does damage. Are you hitting her? It won't kill her faster, but you'll get the bonus objective and it will help you in the long run.

Source? When I encountered Quiet for the first time, ages ago, by pure coincidence, I had a lethal sniper rifle with me and I beat her using that. Wasn't a problem at all, and her bonding speed was no different from D-Dog's.

It took forever, there is a massive difference in how long that battle played out with the smg than when I did it again with the tranq sniper

I just snuck right up on her point black in the back of the head with the tranq gun.. Sand storm came and I followed her, turned the corner after losing her and there she is kneeled down.. Point blank from about 4 feet away. She just then burst straight up into the air and vanished to start cyclling around again.

By bonding faster, I mean you'll start at a higher bonding level. I could look something up if you want a source. I started at about 11.

I'm giving up for now on trying to tranq her.. I have hit her multiple times, one time from 4 feet and several from within 30ft. she will just fly away everytime. Wanted to do it just to do it.

I used my tranq pistol and a few stun grenades after D Dog kept marking her. The dog makes this game way too easy...

no wonder i couldn't tranq her. you have to first shoot her a bunch of times until she escapes and then he tells you kill her.. Now i bet i can tranq her. it seemed so weird before.
