Travel to drop points without starting a mission?

Is there any way for me to travel to Afghanistan or Africa via selecting a drop point instead of having to select a mission? I would like to just free roam and grab a few things without having to start a mission or something.

Picking a drop point from a side op might work. I have been meaning to try it. Simply pick where you want to go and ignore the side op.

When you're in the Aerial Command Center, you can select different mission categories, the one you're looking for is "free roam." You need to select a drop point.

In your iDroid go to where you normally select your missions and switch categories (R1/Rb on controller, 3 on keyboard iirc). One of the listings should be for Free Roam, which lets you pick any available drop off point in Motherbase or any of the regions you've unlocked
