5,000,000 GMP Cap - What the f***.
**NO SPOILERS**
So I just noticed that after S-Ranking a few missions, I noticed my GMP total kept show 5,000,000. I committed hours on side ops and hunting diamonds just to realize it was all wasted. Why the hell the game doesn't warn you is beyond me and I'm only at mission 24 and spent ~90 hours (70-80 realistically) in the game since launch.

I'm obviously enjoying the game, but the wrinkles are definitely starting to appear the further I go. Annoyances have cropped up to the point that I wrote down a laundry list of issues and suggestions. Definitely taking a break from TPP for a few weeks and since the kind people of the internet spoiled the story for me, I really have nothing else to look forward to. :steamfacepalm:

Start researching stuff. I have no idea how you have max gmp since I go in the red constantly and have a maxed out fob that can never be invaded.

Wow, it doesn't even warn you? That's pretty lame. There should be a warning at 4 milllion telling you to start spending....

However, thanks to your sacrafice, some of us may avoid the same pain. We salute you. *salute*

Well I did clock in NINETY HOURS in the game and just reached the 24th mission lol. I've just been exploring, collecting, and focusing on specific items I need and want. Plus I mainly used non-lethal pistol and just started experimenting with silenced (lethal) weapons.

Hah I have 95. If you rank up your lethal pistols, you can unlock a variation that uses non-lethal rounds. If you rank up your m4, you can unlock a 7.62 rifle variation.
If you got the legendary gunsmith and the above, you can do some really epic mods on your weapons. Its totally rewarding to have it all laid out.

Lol honestly, I haven't. I guess I can blame my A.D.D. for that! But seriously, I just love games like these in which I can get lost in the world and roleplay - creating my own experiences and stories as I traverse the world. I've had so many awesome battles that I could honestly stop playing the game and still consider the game (near) perfect.
Its probably the best game ever made!
I've been running around with nothing but an asasult rifle modded into a sniper, half naked. Snekking in bases fully upgraded with nothing but control to walk and a cardboard box is the ♥♥♥♥.

Thanks for the tips! I did the legendary gunsmith (yes, all of em), but been so busy trying to get max out my resources to build up my R&D, medical, Base Dev., and Support struts to upgrade my tools and eventually send over my best resources to my FOB. But after noticing the GMP cap, I am so upset that I don't even want to even be around the game...

Jesus, 90 hours in 5-6 days. I mean, I game a lot myself, and I've put 40`ish hours into the game, and I've been playing TPP every day at least for 4-6 hrs.

I'm surprised that you haven't burned out your interest in playing the game.

50-ish hours here and only on main mission 15, myself.

Also, isn't there an achievement for having hit 10,000,000 GMP? Can yo usomehow upgrade your total GMP with additional FOBS or what.

use C.Engine. to get your money then uninstall it. You earned it.
Detrian Sep 6, 2015 @ 12:13pm
How did you manage to amass so much money without researching is beyond me.

Honestly, I guess I'm a guy of simple taste? Or to put it another way, I got lost free roaming and doing side-ops. I just treated it like I'd treat most other open-world titles (e.g., Oblivion and Fallout). And I did tons of research, it's just that GMP isn't my worry - it's resources that I'm really after. That is what I'm really after.

And could you believe I'm a full time Junior in college lol. Oh and no I didn't skip my classes even though my friends did.
