[Solved] Mission 16:Traitors’ Caravan "Listened to all conversations between transport truck driver and outpost/guard post soldiers" side mission bugged?
Like in topic:

i'm fallowing that truck, it stops at 2 points. First is the guard post near airfield (here is first converstation) another in Kiziba Camp and he got 2nd conversation, next stop is at the river where mission ends with fail (no conversation over there, instant mission fail when he is there). I'm doing something wrong or it's buged?

EDIT:

Ok this is kinda BS... to trigger first "conversation game script" at the Airfield (behind that truck) you need to be within 100m range!!! That is so lame bug/imperfection...

Soooo... nobody did that side-mission so far? :P I heard there are 3 conversations, where first should be at the Airport, anybody can tell me where, in which certain point? I'm following that truck driver from the start and i don't see him speaking with anybody there, need to know if i need to reinstall my game... :P

Just knock the guy out / kill him and fight the skulls. If you are really smart you will bring either an rpg or c4 to stack damage.

I've been trying to complete this side mission as well but not going so well.

1. First conversation is at the airport once the APC arrive
2. Second conversation is at Kisiba camp south guard post(12)
3. Third conversation is at Kiziba Camp

Problem is any of these conversations can bug out on you. I have had all three of them not work i can conform the first and second conversation as i have heard them. last conversation at kiziba camp though has never worked for me.

Make sure you don't get on alert status as this will stop the conversations

Took your advice about 100m range on third conversation and finally worked.. This side mission was a real pain.

Beat the mission in 3min:
- Straight to the airport after deploy (truck will be standing there, no tanks)
- Ignore guards, rush to it
- Skulls spawn, ignore them. Just fulton the truck.
- Leave mission area on horse

No fighting no, problem. Easy S rank.

go to airport first, you missing airport, the first conversation is there. if you dont know where s truck in airport, then you can tail escort tanks sitting nearby outpost. there s a small fence door locked on left of maingate, enter inside, climb the building near door you have unlocked, from roof, listen the first conversation.

then tail them along the road ,go parallel to them 100meters away. each time they stop, listen them.

go to road between kiziba and refinery before convoy. put your jeep to block or use emp mine. once they stop , go near truck, trigger skull event.

after this, the tank on behind of column will be empty,mount and use it to kill skulls, try not to hit close truck. cannon has wide AoE.

this results with s rank aswell. you can additionally rush to truck from front and fulton it but if you fail and alert skulls then they gonna keep hammering truck for each time you try fulton, after 3-4 hits truck will explode, believe me, their melee stomp is powerful, they even destroyed tank on my first try.

edit : most side task events needs you to be 50 or 100meter range to get triggered. this s how scripts kick in this game. there s also time limit for some, if you wander too much, they simply skip some events. and move to next. and sometimes you need to enter event start radius after npcs, not before , otherwise some conversations gets bugged.

Really dude? Did you read the question? The mission itself is piss easy. He is asking about the side objective.

this is seriously retarded, I've been sooo close to the truck I could almost hug the guys at the airport. no conversation. I then proceded to try the mission without the escort (extracting them without being alerted) without the jeep escort (extract the 4 zero risk members outside the airport) no conversation at any outposts. they just stand there and check their watch and don't do anything.

if the mission objectives are dependent on extremely specific NPC's being not unconcious or asleep they should include that in the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ objective. the viscount mission is bugged too, this is ridiculous, I don't blame konami or kojima but seriously if these objectives require such retardedly specific circumstances they should LET US KNOW somehow; be it intel or whatever.

The Viscount conservations are such a chore. Had to replay that mission like 5 times to get all the convos to trigger correctly, and the guys you have to follow. Move. So. Damn. Slow.

Alright. Seems like all have a problem with this freak optional objective "Listened to all conversations between transport truck driver and outpost/guard post soldiers".
Here we go. First, of course, go to marked outpost to retrieve intel. Do it whatever you like, there is no timer yet. It starts when you take intel papers.
At this point run/ride as fast as you can to the airport, farest corner from the outpost you just searched. Beware of Jeep with 4 guys, they control crossroad nearby and later will join escort party. You can deal with them and fulton, its one of optional objectives too, and you still have a time for this. Check my screenshots ("1-st observation point") - you'll find little rock here you can climb, identify truck and escort vehicles, mark driver (closest ZRS guy to your position) and wait for conversation.
Now time is an issue. Run/ride like hell to the hill near 12 outpost ("2-nd observation point" in my screenshots) and take position. Listen again and as soon as conversation ends - move to "3-rd observation point".
You almost haven't time for this, so don't waste any second. Get to position at prone, 'cause there are a lot of enemies here. Listen to the last conversation, and as soon as your optional objective triggered as complete - run to the truck. Forget about all guards, they wont sound any alarm, 'cause the cut-scene will start in the moment you get close enough to the truck.
Immediately hit the dirt, and crawl away placing C4 on your way. But not too close to the truck - it might kill the driver or even destroy the truck. When all sculls move to your C4 - blow the guys (finish any survived sculls if nesessary), then quick fulton all vehicles and people in vicinity, to be sure driver one of them.
If you succeeded in fulton 4 ZRS guys earlier - you'll get all 8 objectives and hopefully S-rank.

It is very easy to break their conversation scripts. Once on other mission, they spotted d-dog, shoo'd it, and... moved on without the conversation triggering. Because.... nanomachines?

50 meters sometimes can start cutscene. I would say - 70-80 meters is a pefrect distance.
