do you guys do both at random order? What the pro and cons of doing missions in certai order?

All side stuff first, I want to be well-prepaired when feces hit the fan.

I skip a lot of the side ops. Mostly only do the important ones, the fun sounding ones, and the ones you can do very quickly (get in and get out in 2 min).

Remember to do side ops 107, 108, and 109 when they unlock, and you will get the legendary gunsmith and unlock gun customization. To do them I think you finish mission 13 or 14 to unlock 107, then 108 unlocks afterwards once you clear Northern Afghanistan of side ops (I found out apparently I had to do the stun arm and bear side ops for 108 to appear).

I did all the side ops. Extract MotherBase vets has extreme story information. You definitely want to finish Claymore Clearing in its entirety cause that actually changes the base game, making it BETTER.
