Does the Auto Assign work?

Hey guys. I really don't want to be a guidance councillor and sift through finding the best workers at the end of my balloons. Does the auto assign work well enough that i don't have to deal with that? I'm not sure is there a limit on people i pick up since i hear Revolver saying ''you wanna pick him up?...ok'' . Should i be letting randoms go or?

I'm very early into the game, my game time doesn't reflect how little i have done since i need to complete atleast 90% of the objectives.

Long story short: will poor soldiers be replaced by better when i pick them up or do i physically have to go through and remove low level soldiers?

not really, it seems to assign E's to into my ranks when I still have A-A++ in the waiting room. it seems as tho you really do need to work it yourself if you want to be at your best potential.

works fine up until you have over the staff limit.

i dont know about the crap ones but if you get better ones use the auto it woks unless you want to boost your r&d or medical i had to take some out of other jobs so i could build what i wanted so i think it works well build the analizer for your iscope

From experience auto arrange puts soldier based on their rank on that specific Department.
And it you hit Staff cap, the low level get auto dismissed for the higher levels
