METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN

METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN

So what does Heroism do?
Aside from give me that warm fuzzy feeling that only high numbers can.

After each mission you get volunteers for your staff. Your heroism determines the amount and skill of those volunteers.

It attracts more recruits. I think the higher it is the better they are.

With higher Heroism you will passively recruit more A+ and up soldiers at the end of missions and evacs.

It also increases Mother Base morale. And I believe a few things regarding FOB multiplayer but I can't be quoted on that.

I don't know the values and they're not tied to the circle that slowly fills up it seems, but it definitely effects what soldiers you recieve as volunteers as well as what soldiers you find out in the field.

I'm at 260,000 Heroism and my volunteers are always A++ or S right now, and soldiers I find in the field are commonly A++ and S too. There's always low white tier ones mixed in though.

I'm not sure if it effects anything else though. Just the skill values of volunteers and specialists (the one GOOD soldier among a group of enemies)

I feel I should point out I've hardly touched the main story also, I've only just rescued Code Talker from the airport area. I'd like to think the main story missions and their extreme versions completed effect the soldier values too, but I think it is more tied to Heroism than anything else.

It could be nice to assume Heroism also effects how long soldiers you capture remain in the brig, but I doubt it. My brig seems to be constantly full.

Due to a save corruption bug, I had to play another person's one who was at the same mission. Only thing, my heroism was 40,000 and his was 62,000. I realized a very slight increase in quality of soldiers. At 40,000 I was just about getting A+ and A++ soldiers, and it was like that at 60,000 points. However, I am now at 86.000 points and still get mostly the same quality of soldiers. Probably more A+ and A++ now, but NO S ranks yet. Then again, I am still only at Mission 24.

If you get enough Heroism points people can no longer nuke you in FOB stuff. At least that is what miller told me. I believe you get that at 400,000 hero points

No, if you get enough heroism points you can raid FOB's of people who have built a nuke, so you can steal and dismantle them.

I was just going off what miller said, something about if your caught in a FOB you don't need to worry about a nuclear retaliation. But I've never played a second of online so can't confirm or deny anything

"Most people won't dare retaliate"(His exact words) because if you HAVE a nuke they maybe couldn't have 150000 heroism required to attack a FOB with the nuke deterrent.

I've only just completed Mission 16 and I'm currently sitting at 56,880 Heroism. I've gotten a couple S ranked and gotten my Foxhound codename. Currently pulling out mostly A+ soldiers.

I got over 800000 (tonight i will rise that up to 1kkk) Heroism and now i got S+ volunteers. but still i don't have any target under "nuclear-equipped target". :/

I read that there's also demon points which is essentially the opposite of hero points and that demon points enlargen snake's horn. Maybe if you get enough hero points the horn will dissapear?
