METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN

METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN

Use of trainers in game?
Before I start this discussion, I want to say I don't advocate ceating on your first playthrough, as it could ruin the experiance of the game alltogether. That being said, I know I cannot force you guys to not listen to me, so do with youe copy as you will! :)

So, this thought occurred to me yesterday. the vast majority of PC games have trainers or cheat engine tables or some sort of exploit where you can get unlimited health, ammunition, money, or just run fast, or some other such cheat. It's definately no secret that eventually, MGS V trainers will turn up ( If there aren't already ).

Now, considering MGS V uses online to post your single player stats online, and needs online to instigate FOB invasions ( Providing you have an FOB set up at this point ), how will people using trainers for single-player only be handled? I am well aware of people who might use these trainers for FOB, or even Metal Gear Solid Online 3 once that comes out, and I expect Kojima/Konami has a way to handle them, but we've yet to know if there will be any action against players who hack in single player, even if their leaderboard stats aren't posted.

Before anyone gets suspicious of me asking this sort of question, no, I try not to use trainers in games on my first playthrough, and I know that, later in MGS V, it will become hard to se up all your GMP and materials, because they're a constant income as you go along in the game, and ammo is plentiful if you have weapons that are compatable. The only reason I'm asking is because, given that MGS V will usually be always-online, unless you log out, or the server goes through maintenance, there might be some action taken against single-player modders or hackers that could cause backlash, as seen with GTA V when people thought single-player mods got them banned.

I have no idea if there's a ban system in place but I imagine it might get you banned if you use things online.
Of course, logically, you could just not play online, cheat and then go back online.
I also think that FOBs are online only, no? I imagine that things like infinite ammo would work if it's client side for the person using the cheats but I'm really not sure how online works.
Hopefully there'll be a ban for online cheating.

I know there may just be, but I was talking about the single-player sideo f things, since your stats are uploaded to the leaderboards if you're connected to their servers.
FOB gameplay is offline unless a defender is present, then it is online.

There is no anti-cheat system as far as anyone is aware. However MB coins hacked in will be revoked.

Happy modding :lilac:

You can use cheats. Don't worry about the no life fob tryhards.

You risk your FOB being taken offline. You can still enjoy the single player experience and MGO, but you may not be able to participate in FOB and PF battles. Though they don't actively ban people

FOB gameplay IS online in every sense of it. You cheaters are like an alcoholic, don't see your problem and justify it all the time with stupid arguments. Cheating in a game=loser. Period.

Wrong
All they're doing is isolating cheaters from normal players

My life sucks and I hate myself so I need to use trainers to cheat in video games in order to dominate other players and feel better about my own insecurities.

sarcasm btw
