They took Battlegear out due to balancing issues while the game was in development so we can't actually use it. It sucks but I can imagine why they would do that.

You did fight ZEKE. Could also have mock battles with it and if you had 2 people playing in Co-op, there was a version of that fight where one person actually controlled ZEKE while the other fought it as BB.
