How do i unlock weapon customization?

I've finished the main story fully, but have yet to get the ability to put an underslung grenade launcher or master key on my rifle, despite having upgraded it to the point of having a lower rail.

what is required to unlock weapon customization/painting?

Find the Legendary Gunsmith in side ops missions.

did you do nothing but the main story missions cause if so thats why you can't customise...hell you would of missed a ton of stuff

after the extraction and once you get to ur ACC, ocelot(?) should tell you hes not the legendary gunsmith and he will provide info of the location of the real gunsmith.

you must be at least done with mission 12 because part 2 of that side op is located on the same area as that mission. that what i think, at least.

I done 107 a few days ago, dont remember if he said anything, ive done the first 35 or so main missions, but theres no follow up to the gunsmith side op showing. I guess i will have to work my way through everything

Nah, rather I think it's the STUN-ARM blueprint side op that activates the next part.

i cant say either. thats what happened to me when i did the mission. i just realize that you should be done with mission 12 once that legendary gunsmith side op pops up because mission 1 of that is located in africa. i dont know whats up. ull just have to play some more i guess or if everything goes to crap. go see if the part 1 is replayable
