How do you get all the legendary gunsmiths?

I read somewhere you need to rescue 3? of them to modify your guns. I got one side op for one and apparently more were supposed to pop up, but they never did.

I extracted a guy with the gunsmith perk from a story mission, do you need to get the rest from story missions?

You only rescue 2. It is from a side quest called "Rescue the legendary gunsmith" "Rescue the legendary gunsmith....again." Its around main mission 12-14. If I remember properly.

Im on mission 23 and never got the second gunsmith =/

Do some other side ops. Apparently you can't access one that takes place in the same location as one you already have.

There probably is a side-op near that area that is blocking the side-op from appearing.

1st Gunsmith - Bwala Ya Masa, Africa
2nd Gunsmith - Afghanistan Central Base Camp, Afghanistan (North)
3rd Gunsmith - Yakho Oboo Supply Outpost, West Afghanistan

Clear the side-ops that is near the area. Get back in the chopper for the side-op update.

I'm trying to do all of the side-ops in the area for gunsmith 3, but they keep repeating the same ones and I'm not getting the gunsmith side-op.

This is what worked for me. First check to see if you do have any side ops in listed areas.^^ If you do not do the Bear and Stun arm ops. The stun arm op is what did it for me.

if you did mission 22 it unlocks weapon customization by itself , or just after you build FOB(i dont remember)

Legendary gunsmith sideop got 3 parts not 2

after doing the bear and stun arm I still wasn't getting the 2nd gunsmith to show up I foudn out that it was a UA drone blueprint side op located at afganistan central base camp, soon as I did it and went back to the chopper i got a raido message about the gunsmith mission. Hope this helps some people.

Stun Arm blueprint sideop is what unlocked Legendary Gunsmith #2 for me. (Have NOT done legendary bear sideop)

If you keep doing sideops and nothing is showing up, you may need to complete a few more story missions.
