After a mission my clothes are still bloody?

I realized switching outfits cleans this, but any ideas on why this is a feature? Seems weird.

After each mission if you take hits or deal death to oppenents, you will get soaked in blood as a means to show that Big Boss has been busy. This has adverse effects on the player, such as having an odor of rot which will give away your position, and if you go to your base Staff will lose morale if you are too messy. You can shower at Mother Base, cleaning yourself up without having to change clothes, or you can wait until a certain point, where Ocelot himself will FORCE you to wash up lol

Gotta take a shower man. There's a white booth looking thing near the helicopter port. You should actually be able to see it to your right when you get out of the helicopter.

go to the motherbase and you will see the location on the map

It looks like a porta potty/phone booth. It's near the 1st helipad. Use the overhead map to see it. You just walk inside of it. And a few seconds later you come out fresh and clean.
