What determines the price of a "supply drop"
I find myself using this alot as I run out of stun bullets in my pistol, but I noticed its not tied to ammo used, and its been randomly getting more pricy as the game goes on. It started at around 1000 GMP and is not up to 12000 GMP! How can i reduce this price? It doesent matter TOO much, as obviously as I progress in this game GMP becomes more abundant.

it gives spare copies of all support weapons/tools as well, so it would replace any noctacynin or like c4 even if youre full up, take less items on missions in the prep screen to reduce the cost

Thank you SO much!

Can i also ask why the cost of calling my heli in to pick me up varies? I just did it and it cost 16K!

possibly the weapons/upgrades you have for the heli?

Well, I did some testing. Deploying costs the same no matter what the chopper is equipped with. For my tests, I was deploying for 670 GMP. With the basic chopper, costing 1000, a supply drop cost 770, and returned 270 on pickup, so true cost was 500. A second supply drop with a grade 3 chopper with no weapons cost 8270, true of 8000. Return is unaffected by chopper. With a grade 3 chopper equipped with grade 2 h-rocket and grade 2 flare, supply cost was 9370. As for time to complete: I was surprised to learn that there's no difference. It took about 48 sec to be able to leave the chopper, and it took about 34 sec for a supply to reach the ground, regardless of chopper gear. So unless you find yourself needing air support, keep the chopper equipped with basic gear.

TL;DR Chopper increases supply drop cost without benefit.

I never took notice, but I extract via heli often (when places are too far) and my most recent one cost 1000 GMP.

Wow... Feeling so dumb right now to not have noticed that. Have been wondering too why my pick-up now cost like 35000 and not 8000 like it used to do for a while. Been upgrading it like crazy... haha.

Yeah, I was wondering myself, tis why i decided to test it out. Since the supplies cost more without being faster, the only reason to have the chopper upgraded is if you need to fast extract or call in support often. Do kinda with there was a settings thing like with d-walker. One chopper for supplies, one chopper for hot extract, one chopper for attack support. Too bad there's not

Is it possible to remove upgrades again? :/

THAT would be awesome! One stripped down chopper and one fully upgraded.

I just removed almost all of my upgrades, but now I'm pretty annoyed at having to wait for the chopper... ;D

What about Fulton Recovery costs? I just came back from a mission and I had a balance of -120k due to a whopping 230k "Support Cost", I should probably stop extracting 20+ soldiers.
ElOhTeeBee Sep 7, 2015 @ 3:00pm
As far as I can tell, fulton recovery costs are based solely on what you're fultoning.

Also, 20 soldiers would only cost 6000 GMP to fulton. You probably fultoned a lot of vehicles, emplacements, and material containers.
Zaqnak Sep 7, 2015 @ 3:01pm
containers each cost 10k, mortars 6k, anti airs 10k etc ^^
poky Sep 7, 2015 @ 3:07pm
Also if you upgrade gear it cost more to suply drop said gear. So i only take a 2 star tranq with me. Althoug gmp is not a problem if you grind MB trials.

Yeah, normal fultons on soldiers/animals cost 300 GMP each
Containers, vehicles and anti-air cost 10000 GMP each
Stationary weapons cost 5000 GMP each

The "whopping" cost is most probably highly upgraded heli (which get pretty expensive really fast) and maybe a refill on ammo or two? The more equipment you carry, the more does the deploy and Supply Drop cost :)
