Struggling to SNEAK - Movement SPEED issues on keyboard
Movement speed is too fast or too slow if you press CTRL, there is no mid level control on keyboard.

The devs clearly haven't done any research;

THE MOVEMENT SPEED SHOULD BE TIED TO MOUSE WHEEL, just like old SPLINTER CELL games, so we could choose how fast we can move.

Against a walking enemy I have no chance of to CQC while chasing from behind. If I use default movement while crouching he will hear me in last 2-3 meters and ♥♥♥♥ will hit the fan or reflex mode will be activated if enabled.

If I decide to slow down in last 2-3m by using CTLR, I wont be able to catch him.Cuz it REALLY SLOWS THE MOVEMENT SPEED TOO MUCH.

Only option is to use an analog stick for manual movement speed.

Does anyone struggle to do stealth takedowns on moving enemies?

yep, I liked to holdup people in gz, but in tpp it is too painful to be playing catch with soldiers, so I just cqc them, if I need, I'll kick him to wake up and interrogate

I too am struggling with this and refuse to switch to a controller.

Yeah same, I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hate aiming with controller on console , thats why grabbed it on PC and now this ♥♥♥♥ came up. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ unbelivable. It is really gamebreaking for me. I dont wanna play with controller or throw clips to soldiers :/

I know it's not very helpful at all, but there's a couple of outfits (So far, I think the Solid Snake and the Sneaking Suit from GZ) that muffle your footsteps. This is what I had to do in order to be able to keep up with enemies while stalking them. The suits work pretty bad during daytime but in night time they're pretty usefull overall.

Yeah mate, I have read about it. But really kills the immersion and forces us take this outfit's path for non-flawed gameplay. This should be fixed on K&M setups.I hope more people see this topic to back it up :/

this has nothing to do with kb+m. its the suit you are wearing. a little into the game you will get the option to wear a sneaking suit. once you make and equip that, then you can sneak behind enimies without pressing ctrl. if you have played and uploaded ground zeroes save file, you will get the suit earlier. Stop bashing the game because of your ignorance

It is not with the suit, I plugged in a controller, AND WITH CONTROLLER I CAN CATCH MY TARGET, press the analog half way forward and you ll catch your target without getting owned. You dont get it, with analog you can set your speed, it s not run or crawl like a grandma. STOP BEING A FAN BOY

I've found tapping 'ctrl' (alt in my case i changed it) helps a bit and still works to not alert the enemy.

I've been doing this as well, works quite nicely.

I honestly had no idea movement speed was a factor in sneaking, i've never gotten caught because of noise...

you can always just go prone

I do use the sneak suit a lot though maybe that has to do with it

Thirded. It's really the way to go, and works perfectly for me.

I must admit this has bothered me as it did in GZ, as the OP says it's either too fast or too slow. I hate using controller due to the cubersome and slow look speed.

"Ok I can hear you talking, I'll start turning now and be there in a few minutes" :)

Yeah but later in the game during the no gear missions you can't use that suit...which is really problematic for KB+M users because variable sneaking speed isn't an option. I wouldn't call it game breaking, but it is a pretty frustrating oversight. Claiming other users are ignorant when you yourself failed to account for a pretty obvious situation when that suit isn't viable is fairly ironic.

Needs to be another way to sneak then just the ctrl button; it has plenty of ways to work around it but if you don't enjoy analog aiming but love the movement you are going to miss out on as fluid sneaking without a analog stick, little dissapointing at this point early days though, hopefully some more effort is put into the keyboard controls, can't even actually re map everything even though it now claims you can.
