2.) You're supposed to use the honeybee. Kaz and Ocelot both radio their O.K for you to use the ammo. You don't even have to use all of it to kill them all. And like others said, there are other sources of high damage explosives to use.
I think something screwed up in my game a bit because even when they were supposed to attack me they kind of just inched towards me and only very occasionally charged at me.

•Destroying the "fog version"'s body parts to rapidly reduce their health and resistance.
•Fultoning the "armoured version" will reward with parasite enhanced armour.
•Fultoning the "camouflage version" leads to the creation of items that grant the player 30 seconds on invisibility.
•The "camouflage version"'s body parts can't be destroyed, so headshots are the most useful way to defeat these skulls.
