"The Phantom Pain can be frustrating. The game checkpoints your progress at key locations or when you reach a pivotal part of a mission, but miss the location or fail to find that vital milestone and you can find yourself repeating the same section over and over again.

Personally it's bad cause I like to take my time and scope things out. So I could spend 30 minutes to an hour just scoping every angle to make sure I pull off a perfect mission.
I would love to be able to save during this time, cause I cannot guarantee myself one hour or two hours of game time each time I play. There are other things to do IRL man, so it just sucks.
Now I put myself under pressure to do things quicker. And, on the occassion where I spend a lot of time planning, I then have to exit and then come back and just rush through the mission, with most enemies not being marked.
If someone can figure out a way to help people like me, we'd much appreciate it.
Perhaps on consoles it makes sense cause people can play for hours at once, but on PC one minute I could be playing and the next I'd have to exit the game and do some work or something.
P.S If you didn;t know you can get no trace on specific missions for huge chunk of points
Whenever you move between areas. It'll show an icon in the upper right. Don't use Return to ACC without seeing that icon or it won't save. Exit to the title screen in the ACC to ensure you don't lose progress.
