I am forever "Logging in to server"

So I am having this great problem that is stopping me playing the game. I click play, it talks about autosave features to which I click "ok". It then comes up with a screen that says "logging in to server." It has been like this for 15 mins now.

I have tried:
-Allowing through firewall
-restarting steam
-running as administrator
-going offline

Still just stays there. This SEEMS like a unique issue.
Anyone have any help or ideas?

had that problem earlier, i just force closed the game and restarted it and it actually logged me in for the first time since i first ran it.

I wish my fix was that easy. I have restarted steam, closed and re opened mgs like 5 times. I am hoping they will release a fix for it. When you say force close I assume you mean from task manager?

Wish I had the "logging in to Server" message for more than 1 sec after the game decides I'm not worthy of getting logged in.

At least there seems to be a fix around the corner for you, I havent seen anything really addressing the issue I have :L I guess i get to see some text. Yay well worth the money!

Clear cache worked for me but at the time the game was new so there was just server issues from being too many people - weird that you're having the issue now though!
