[PROBLEM] [FIXED] Chapter 1 Revenge won't start

After seeing the splash for Chapter 1 I'm treated into a black screen that runs forever, it doesn't crash and Task manager shows the game is running, anyone else runned into this problem?
Any fixes?

Specs:
OS: Win 7
GPU : Radeon R7 260x
CPU: AMD FX 8320

So just download basic K-Lite Codec Pack?

Yes, it had to unistall the codecs I already had (which is basically the media player's one) and then on K-Lite I disabled the .m4v format. It's a prerendered cutscene at that point that's why there's codec problems

1) Go to ..\K-Lite Codec Pack\Tools -> Codec Tweak Tool.exe
2) Go to "Media Foundation" under "Win7DSFilterTweaker:".
3) And UNCHECK .m4v in both 32 bits and 64 bits

Do you have QuickTime installed? I had to remove QT from my PC to avoid the crash.

I uninstalled QuickTime and that worked. Also, I thought they fixed this issue in a patch.

Hah....

Under 3) I've actually had to CHECK ALL entries to get it to work in Chapter1. Not uncheck. There was nothing to uncheck to even begin with.

For those who are still experiencing the issue, I wanna share how I fixed mine.

So I have tried installing K-Lite Codec Pack, but the issue persisted. After reading some more posts from different threads, I learned that the game requires "Windows Media Codec" in order to run the cut-scene. In most of Windows 10, by default this thing is installed. However, in Windows 10N and KN, they're NOT installed by default.

So in order to get it running, I had to install "Media Feature Pack for N versions of Windows 10"

I tried downloading the latest version (October 2018), but it won't install. So I had to use April 2018 version, which worked well!

Again, thanks a bunch for guys who have shared information in different threads. I'm looking forward to enjoy this masterpiece :)

I f-ing hate it. After every major Win10 Update (I have the Windows 10 Pro N version) it deletes theMedia Feature Pack and I have to reinstall the appropiate one again...

And every time, I forget this problem and search the whole internet again, why something like this game would crash!
