MGSV:TPP's steam file name

Can anyone pls tell me the file name of the game under steam/common folder? My net speed is only 10mbps. so it will take 5-6 hours at least to download this. But i managed to download the steam files from a local torrent site and i want to use those to play properly. I tried to copy paste the files in L:\Steam\steamapps\downloading\287700 but i cant seem to verify them :|

i have already bought the game :/ see the mouse sign beside my id. can u tell me the 'file' name of this game exactly under ur steam apps folder. i want to copy paste my dloaded torrent files so that i can play now instead of waiting for 6+ hours to complete my download

many of my steam friends did the same thing with Gta. i could download the 60gb of gta cause my net speed was significantly higher at that night but in case of MGSv i cant. can u pls just tell me ur file name under steam? :/ its not like i am pirating a decent game

The files for the game is mostly the same except for very minor version differences from updates and such, so, downloading a crack early to shove it in as the actual game files is something that should work pretty perfectly, just have to remember to validate first.

the files i have downloaded had pre order stuff. so it was 21gb+ but my version is the 20gb one w/o any pre order bonus

Just to make this clear: the concept is that Steam only downloads missing files, or those that don't verify as identical to the official.

So if you have all the files on a USB stick and copy those into the folder, then Steam should just verify those rather than download them. But it has to be the right folder.

If this works as intended then preorder shouldn't really matter - probably only a few files are different between the two.

Thanks a lot guys, this might help me too. It downloaded to 8.3GB, and I closed Steam, and when I opened it again later it restarted the download. FFS!

Now those half downloaded files are stuck in steamapps\downloading, so I will copy them over into this folder you specified and hope it continues from 8.3GB again.

Redownloading that on a 2Mb/s line is no fun. Took me 12 hours already, and I can only download while I sleep.

Hi, can I ask if this worked for you? I won't have access to my gaming PC for at least a couple of days and I'm thinking of buying the game and torrenting the files rn on my laptop, that way I can start playing straight away when I get home. Also what torrent did you use?

i used a local torrent server which is accessible only from broadbands of my city. btw the same torrent can be found in other torrent sites. just look for 'METAL gear solid phantom pain full unlocked'.. dload it and copy paste the 'MGS_TPP' Folder directly into steam-> steam apps-> common. then start ur download from steam. it will autodetect
